Undergraduate course
This course aims to provide you with a well-rounded education in the principles of sports medicine. It is intellectually challenging and coherent, and benefits from the strong support by medical school and university hospital. The teaching programme provides a solid understanding of theories and concepts in sports medicine, and practical skills needed to assess and conduct health promotion tasks, including sports injuries care, sports sciences and exercise prescription. The course is organised with four principles described as follows -
- All students are required to complete 137 credits, including core modules of 105 credits, optional modules of 16 credits in Liberal Arts and further optional modules of 16 credits from the Sports Medicine Department. The core modules will include general education of 12 credits.
- Optional modules in Liberal Arts comprise three areas – humanity, social sciences and natural sciences. At least one module from each area is required.
- At last four optional modules from Sports Medicine Department is required.
- At least one optional module is selected between Yoga Pilates, Weight Training and Aerobic Dance.
